Daingerfield VS Celina
This is the game Doug had been waiting for, as had all of the die hard Daingerfield Tiger fans, the game of the season. What a great time for me to leave the extra camera battery in the charger in Whitehouse. Needless to say Doug was very disappointed, but at least he got to watch the game and not worry about getting those great shots! Right?? Notice there are only 41 pics of this game, as opposed to the 331 from last week. I say quality over quantity!! Daingerfield brought home another victory over the Celina Bobcats after playing in the rain and waiting out a 25 minute delay due to the thunder and lightning! GO TIGERS!!!

One More Football Pic...
I had to add one more pic that Doug took Friday night. I did a little more processing playing around with picnik on flickr. The player making the awesome catch for Paul Pewitt is the son of a fellow Daingerfield High School alum. He and Doug played football together! Man we are getting old!

"Just tell me mom, is it true? Is it really you and dad doin' all that?"
Noah, my 7 year old second grader came home from school Friday to tell me a little girl in his class told him there is no Santa Clause! She informed him that it was "the parents doin' all that." He demanded to know if that was true. "Just tell me mom, is it true? Is it really you and dad doin' all that?" I responded with my tried and true response of, "All I know is if you believe in Santa Clause, he will come see you." That did not work this time, he was not falling for it. He demanded the truth, although his sweet face did not want to hear the truth and I did not want to fess up! My mind raced trying to come up with something that wasn't a complete lie that would allow me the joy of that innocent surprised face on Christmas morning still believing in the magic of Santa Clause.. just one more year. Where was his dad at a time like this?! Oh yeah, a high school football game! Nothing.. I couldn't lie. I kept it simple with, "Yes it's true." He did not want to believe me. "Why are you messing with me?" he asked through tears. Oh my word! What was I thinking, could I go back and say I was just kidding, there really is a Santa? It was too late. He mourned the loss of Santa all of about 5 minutes. So now he knows the truth, which led to the truth about the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. His final response.. "Why do ya'll do that?" This of course led to the "Don't you say a word to your friends" discussion. The secret proved to be too big for him to hold in. He couldn't stand it. He rode right over to his friend's house only to announce, "I know a secret about Christmas, but I can't tell you because I don't want to spoil the magic!" So, I appologize to all of the parents of Noah's friends if he spills the beans. At least the "Santa can bring anything" pressure is off! I am a little sad though.. it is too soon.

Daingerfield Tigers CRUSH Paul Pewitt Brahmas
So, I don't normally blog about sports, unless my kids are playing. But Daingerfield Highschool Football is a different story. Doug and I both graduated from Daingerfield. So, sorry to all of my Naples & Omaha friends and relatives... I had to post these two pics from Friday night's game. Doug did a fantastic job capturing the excitement on the field. If you want to see all 331 pics he insisted on processing (I am not kidding) click here. If you missed the game, you can just watch the slide show! What was that score again? Oh yeah, Daingerfield 46 - Pewitt 0. Doug will be mad that I posted these before he did! I stole his photos too!
Birthday Brothers
Our whole family had a blast at this birthday party! These very handsome brothers celebrated their birthdays together at Splash Kingdom in Canton. It was a blast. I LOVE waterparks!! Their mom is a very good photographer too, so I just helped out while she was busy being the party host. Here are a few of my faves:

Cute Kiddos
We have had a wonderful summer spent with great friends and family at the pool, birthday parties, or just hangin' out at home. Most of these extremely cute kids are not my own because my own extremely handsome boys have decided to run from me and my camera. So, I just stalk Noah's friends with my camera when they come over to play! I have also resorted to bribery.
Seniors
I love, love, love shooting senior portraits. Okay, so that is based on the two senior portrait sessions I have shot! The first was actually me following Jana Ezernack as she shot the "for real" shots of my nephew. I did get some great shots and learned a lot! The second session was so much fun! I was very nervous. I wanted to get some great shots for this very beautiful senior. She made it so easy, and couldn't take a bad picture if she tried! Post processing has become my obsession with these photos. I have processed and re-processed a zillion times. Still learning...and processing! Click the link below to see a few more.

Go Freshman Wildcats!
I CANNOT believe I have a son playing freshman football. Where did the time go? Here are a few pics of Zane playing middle linebacker. Click on the links below to see more shots. I plan to update weekly. These are mostly Zane, of course... but if you would like me to take some of your player, I will be happy to do so!
We rented a Canon ultrasonic zoom lens EF 70-200mm for football season. It is soooo heavy! But I really like it. What do you use for sports/action shots? Doug has taken some awesome pics at some of the highschool games. Check them out at http://www.franksfootball.blogspot.com/ , a couple of them are also posted on http://www.oldsmoaky.com/ . Doug also covers East Texas high school football for http://www.theoldcoach.com/. Yes, he is a highschool football FANATIC!! I guess it could be worse :-)
